Try clearing the HBO Max cache: Go to Settings on your Android device. Tap Search and type HBO Max. Choose HBO Max from the search results. Tap Storage & cache or Storage. Tap Clear cache. Open HBO Max, sign in, and then try streaming again. At least for now, as a temporary workaround, I was able to open the HBOMAX App on my Apple TV and sign in with my cable subscription with no problem. I was looking at the App history in the Samsung App Store and it looks like the HBOMAX App was last updated yesterday, 12/04/2020. Occasionally when I play videos on streaming platforms via Apple TV 4K there is no sound output with the video. However there is scrolling movement sound outside of the video from the soundbar.
