My car starts really rough with alot of blue smoke. When warm it starts fine, but has a slightly unstable idle at all temperatures. The other problem is that is smells really bad inside the car with diesel. Mostly at idle or near standstill. Theonly reason it’s predominantly done on a run is the dpf needs the extra heat from higher rpm to allow this to happen. No idea on visibility of the bypass when panels fitted to car for mot purposes with a 2.0,but if there is any visible smoke as a result a proper mot tester will fail it.
